This beautiful trough, with the tethers in tact is an excellent example of craftsmanship. The position of the tethers are positioned in such a way that when viewing from about makes the trough look like it has cat ears. We call this type of trough a cat trough.
There is gorgeous veining inside the trough where perhaps a vine had overgrown this older specimen and made an impression.
